Onboarding Checklist
Looking to get your store set up? Follow these quick steps below to learn about the most important settings for your online shop. You will be ready to start selling and accepting orders in no time. Good luck!
1. Upload your Catalog
A catalog is what your customers constantly deal with. That's why it is crucial to make it easy to browse and find the products needed. Uploading products is easy on the Concerto Commerce platform. Upload products with your API key through PrestoSync, create one-time templates for brands not associated with your API key through the Import/Export Manager, and/or add products manually through the Product Catalog.

2. Customize your store
Choose a theme!
Go to Configuration → Settings → General settings to set up your store theme. After you choose a theme, click the Save button in the top right.
Enter SEO information!
SEO Stands for search engine optimization; it is a process of getting traffic from "free," "organic," "Editorial," or "natural" search results on search engines. All major search engines have primary search results where web pages and content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant for users. Under General settings, fill out the SEO section.
Concerto Commerce supports SEO techniques for various types of pages in your store. Find them listed in the SEO section.
Pick an Accent Color!
Go to Apps & Themes → Themes → Select Theme → Settings to customize your theme. Pick an accent color or use the color picker icon to select a specific color.
Enter Social Media URLs!
Upload Logo!
In this field, you can Upload a file button, then choose your logo file. The chosen image will be uploaded. You can remove the uploaded image by clicking the Remove picture button.
Click the Save button in the top right.
3. Top Menu & Footer
Top Menu
In Concerto Commerce, you can choose how the top menu and footer will be displayed. You can include the most important and interesting links in the top menu to attract more customers and add service links to the footer to provide the current store information to your clients.
In the Venture theme, on the demo site, the top menu looks as follows:
As you can see, it displays the store categories. Please note, if you want a category to be displayed in the top menu, you should select the Include in top menu checkbox on the category edit page. For more details, read below.
You can include the following items in the top menu:
- Categories
- Custom topics (pages)
- Links to the site's sections
See below how to add each of these items.
Categories
To include a category in the top menu, go to the category edit page in the admin area: choose Catalog → Categories. Then click the Edit button beside the category. The Edit category details window will be displayed:
Select the Include in the top menu checkbox and click Save.
NOTE: If this category is a subcategory, then ensure that its parent category has this property enabled as well.
Custom topics (pages)
To include a topic in the top menu, go to the topic edit page in the admin area: choose Content management → Topics (pages). Then click the Edit button beside the topic. The Edit topic details window will be displayed:
Select the Include in the top menu checkbox and click Save.
Links to the site's sections
To include some of the site's sections in the top menu, go to Configuration → Settings → General settings. Proceed to the Top menu items panel:
Choose the items you want to be displayed in the top menu. Then click Save.
Footer
In the Venture theme, the demo website footer looks as follows:
By default, it displays site section links grouped by three types: Information, Customer service, and My account. You can remove any of the displayed links or add new ones.
You can include the following items in the footer:
- Custom topics (pages)
- Links to the site's sections
See below how to add each of these items.
Custom topics (pages)
To include a topic in the footer, go to the topic edit page in the admin area: choose Content management → Topics (pages). Then click the Edit button beside the topic. The Edit topic details window will be displayed:
Choose where you want the topic link to be displayed. You can select one or more checkboxes:
- Include in the footer (column 1)
- Include in the footer (column 2)
- Include in the footer (column 3)
For example, if you choose to Include it in the footer (column 1), then the link will be displayed in the Information column.
Click Save to save the changes.
Links to the site's sections
To include some of the site's sections in the footer, go to Configuration → Settings → General settings. Proceed to the Footer items panel:
Choose the items you want to be displayed in the footer from the following list. Click Save to save the changes.
Newsletter
The newsletter block is displayed in the footer by default. To hide this block go to Configuration → Settings → Customer settings. Proceed to the Account panel and select the Hide newsletter box checkbox as follows:
Click Save to save the changes. The footer will be updated accordingly.
4. Configure Store
Under Configuration, you can control how your store runs and edit and control your setting for each of the following:

Set Up Email Accounts
To Configure Email Accounts associated with your store: a general contact email, a sales representative email, a customer support email, and more.

Set Up Payment Methods
Payments are the core of e-commerce. To view global store settings that allow payments to be received and how to set up payment methods, currencies, and payment method restrictions.

Set Up Tax Providers
To add taxes that are built into Concerto Commerce and review tax settings and tax providers.

Set up Shipping
The configuration process of shipping and handling multiple warehouses in Concerto Commerce will include both manual shipping configuration and setting up shipping via API of individual shipping providers like UPS and FedEx.
5. Add a Slider & Category Images

Add a Slider
The Anywhere Slider plugin allows you to display a slider on the home page of your store and in various widget zones throughout your website. To add a slider, go to Apps & Themes → Plugins → Anywhere Sliders and add a new slider

Add Category Images
To add or change a Category picture, go to Catalog → Categories → Edit
In this field, you can Upload a file button, then choose your image file. The chosen image will be uploaded. You can remove the uploaded image by clicking the Remove picture button.
Then click Save!
